What Paper to Choose
The paper type you choose is affected by a number of things. From the cost and your budget, to the finished look and what you’ll be using them for – these are some of the elements you’ll need to consider.
If you’re looking for cheap A5 leaflets, our most popular gloss (150gsm) paper keeps your costs down while offering the same quality as most other printing companies’ “standard” paper type.
For something a little more high-end, our premium (350gsm) paper options are both heavier and thicker, giving them that luxury look and feel.
Gloss Paper – A high-shine, slippery smooth coated stock that gives extra vibrancy to colours. Perfect for showing off products in a high-quality leaflet, brochure or catalogue.
Silk Paper – Paper that’s sleek to the touch. A classic option for all advertising and business stationery. It has a slight sheen to it which gives your print a vibrant and crisp appearance but softer than full high-shine gloss. Fully writable with a ball point pen.
Uncoated Paper – This is classic printer paper. It has a rougher texture than our coated stocks, which means it’s perfect for writing on as it is more porous and quickly absorbs ink for a dry, smudge-free finish. Thinner uncoated stocks are often used as notepad paper, whereas thicker uncoated stocks are used for greetings cards and loyalty cards.

A4:
The most popular paper sizes when it comes to printing is A4. A4 is the most used paper size in the world and a format and size that consumers are familiar with. The dimensions of an A4 page are 297mm high x 210mm wide (11.69 inches x 8.27 inches).
A5:
A5 is the runner up when it comes to the most popular paper size. An A5 is half an A4 page and is the preferred size when it comes to leaflets printing, booklet printing etc. An A5 page has dimensions of 210mm high x 148mm wide (8.27 inches x 5.83 inches).
A3:
Another popular size which can be on the larger size but none the less offers great visual impact is A3. The dimensions for A3 pages are 297mm high x 420mm wide (11.69 inches x 16.54 inches) or double the size of an A4 sheet.
